You've been looking for this place your whole life.
Femme Bar is New England's first modern lesbian bar — the space queer women, femmes, and LGBTQ+ folks deserve. Events every week. Craft cocktails. A community that actually feels like home.
Most nights out weren't built for you.
You've walked into bars where you had to shrink. Where the music was wrong, the vibe was off, and you spent more time scanning the room than enjoying it. There are fewer than 30 lesbian bars left in the entire United States. For years, queer women had almost nowhere to go that was actually built for them.
We said: enough of that.
Femme was built because we felt it too.
We're Danielle and Julie — the lesbian couple who opened New England's first modern lesbian bar in 2023 because the space we wanted didn't exist. We inherited this building. We got married in it. And then we turned it into something the community had been waiting for.
Since opening, we've packed the house for drag brunches, speed dating, trivia, book clubs, and wild Saturday nights. We've sold out merch drops. We've made Worcester, MA LGBTQ+ history.
We know what it feels like to search for a place like this. That's exactly why we built it.
